I started my career in financial services at Old Mutual in 1988, before advancing to a financial advisor and establishing Carinus Strydom (CS) with a partner in Stellenbosch in 1998. Initially, I acted only as a financial advisor, but in 2004, CS started and actively managed its own fund of funds. In 2008, I registered with the Financial Services Board as a fund manager and converted the fund of funds to a Unit Trust fund of funds. The combination of advisory services and fund management contributes to a special dynamic in the daily management of client needs.
