I have more than 9 years experience as an independent financial advisor. I aim to provide every client with advice best suited to their specific circumstances, while building long-term, trusted relationships with my clients.

I hold a Post-Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning through the University of the Free State; RE1, RE3 and RE5 Regulatory Examinations completed through Moonstone Compliance & Risk Management; an NQF6 National Certificate in Financial Markets & Instruments through the Academy of Financial Markets; and a BA Degree in Communication Studies from the North West University's Potchefstroom Campus.

I have 25 years investment experience spanning across investment consulting, wealth management and offshore investment management. During my career, I have consulted to and managed most of the largest and most prestigious retirement funds assets in South Africa.

Prior to founding GraySwan in 2010, I fulfilled the role of Director, Head of Manager Research and Senior Investment Consultant at two of the largest investment consulting companies in South Africa i.e. Alexander Forbes and Riscura. I also previously fulfilled the role of Managing Director and finally the Chief Investment Officer of Sanlam's offshore alternative asset management business based out of South Africa, Zurich and New York.

At GraySwan I fulfil the role of senior investment consultant to our high net private clients and family office investors and also act as co-portfolio manager of the range of investment offerings that we manage on behalf of our clients.

I am a Certified Financial Planner ® Professional with more than 12 years’ experience as an independent financial advisor and investment consultant to individuals, families and small to medium size corporates.

My areas of expertise include, local and offshore savings and investment planning, retirement planning, cash flow planning, estate planning and tax efficient structuring of portfolios.

I specifically focus on assisting clients who are transitioning into the role of financial decisionmaker for the first time in their life. Whether it be because of a change in employment, or retirement, as a result of divorce, or the death of a spouse, or any other significant changes in life circumstances. Through this transition, I equip clients to take control of their finances by empowering them to make the best decisions for their current circumstances and future needs.
